Burnaby's next General Local Election is Saturday, October 17, 2026. Voters elect 1 Mayor, 8 City Councillors and 7 School Trustees for School District 41.
Advance voting is available on October 3, 7 and 10. Any eligible Burnaby voter can use an advance voting place — you do not need a reason.
Applications to vote by mail open August 31, 2026. Mail-in voting is a practical option if you travel, work shifts, or have mobility or caregiving barriers on voting day.
To vote you must be 18 or older on general voting day, a Canadian citizen, a resident of B.C. for at least six months, and a resident or registered property owner in Burnaby. Bring identification. Voting place lists and official details are published by the City of Burnaby at burnaby.ca.
